Do you have a PhD? Why not support Pathways 2011?

Our annual careers event for PhD students and research staff
PATHWAYS is The University of Manchester’s annual careers event for PhD students and research staff. Now in its fourth year, the event has continued to increase in size and recognition and in 2010 we welcomed over 400 delegates and 100 guest contributors.
We would like to invite any member of staff who is PhD qualified to support the event, which focuses on academic and non-academic careers. Current PhDs and research staff really value hearing about the career experiences of others who have been in their situation.
On Friday 10 June (Renold Building), we aim to offer over 40 panel based Q&A sessions which will provide our delegates with insights into a wide range of career pathways and options. The more panellists we can secure, the more successful the event.
If you are interested in participating on Friday 10 June 2011, please contact:
- Anna Lomas via anna.lomas@manchester.ac.uk or 52459
Please do mention the event to any other PhD qualified colleagues, external research partners or funders - or even your friends. We would love to hear from as many as possible. Contributors do not need to have studied at The University of Manchester or be working here to be eligible to take part. Lunch will be provided and we can provide reasonable expenses for those travelling from outside the Manchester area.
If you work alongside PhD students and staff who may benefit from attending, we would be happy to provide publicity materials for email, noticeboards etc for circulation.
