Changes to student finance
21 Apr 2011
Latest information on changes to higher education funding and student finance from 2012
The University of Manchester will charge a headline fee of £9,000 per year to UK and EU undergraduates from September 2012.
This £9,000 headline fee will enable the University to maintain the quality of a Manchester degree, invest in the wider student experience and offer a generous package of bursaries and discounts for students from less well-off backgrounds.
More than a third of all students who successfully apply to study at the University will receive financial support of up to £3,000 per year – and many students will be offered even more generous packages.
Students who are eligible for financial support will be able to choose how to receive this support – either as a cash bursary, a fee waiver or a discount on their accommodation bill.
