John Rylands Library event explores Beat writers

Come to The John Rylands Library Deansgate and embrace your hidden hipster with an exploration of beatnik culture – Beat and Afterbeat.

View and discuss previously unseen manuscripts, letters and cut-ups from Beat writers such as William Burroughs, Allan Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and renowned concrete poet Dom Sylvester Houedard.

The event takes place on Tuesday 19 April between 12noon and 12.45pm. It costs £3.
