Inspiring physicists required!

Speaker sought for schools lecture series
Organisers are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring physicist to deliver the 2012 Institute of Physics Schools and Colleges Lecture.
The events are aimed at 14-16 year olds and take place at around 35 venues throughout the year. Proposals from all areas of physics are welcome, but the organisers are particularly interested in hearing proposals which tie together physics and sport - to celebrate the 2012 Olympics.
The Institute of Physics Schools and Colleges Lecturehas been delivered by a series of acclaimed physics communicators on an annual basis throughout Great Britain for over twenty years.
The lecture uses demonstrations and interactivity to enthuse students and show how their classroom science relates to modern fields of physics.
If you are interested in taking on this prestigious role for 2012 you need to send a two page proposal outlining your talk topic, previous experience and indicative costs before Friday 13 May.
For queries or to submit a proposal please contact:
Clare Mills, Project Co-ordinator on 020 7470 4965 or email clare.mills@iop.org
