Pavement works on west side of Oxford Road

Restrictions to pedestrian access between January and May 2011

Contractors working on behalf of the City's Highway Services are undertaking pavement works on the west side of Oxford Road as follows:

  • Phase 1 (4 - 30 January) from Burlington Street to the archway into the Old Quad, to allow refurbishment work to Whitworth Hall to begin on Monday 31 January;
      
  • Phase 2 (31 January - 31 May) from the archway to the Precinct.

Staff and students are asked to take care when using the pavement in these areas and to look out for obstructions caused by the works.

A further update on the works will be published after future phases along Oxford Road have been finalised on Friday 14 January.
