Jurassic CSI Big Saturday this weekend and China talk next Tuesday lunchtime
Big Saturday: Jurassic CSI
Saturday 11 December / 11am-4pm
Stan our T.rex is 65-70 million years old and had a deadly (bone crushing) bite. Find out more from dinosaur experts, including a live link up to Dr Phil Manning in America (from National Geographic's Jurassic CSI series) and experts from Rockwatch, see and hold some fossils and take part in dinosaur art and craft activities. And of course don't forget to visit Stan the T.rex.
- 12pm: Family friendly films
Short animated films for under fives about dinosaurs - 1.30-2.30pm: Fossils and evolution
Join dinosaur expert Dr Peter Falkingham in a talk looking at all you need to know about palaeontology, evolution and dinosaurs.
Families with children 8+ - 3-4pm: Dr Phil Manning live from the USA
A live link up with The Manchester Museum and The University of Manchester’s dinosaur expert, Dr Phil Manning. Phil is working in the USA at the moment, so this will be a chance to ask him questions over the world wide web.
Most activities are free and drop-in. Some activities may need to be booked on the day and may cost up to £1.50. All ages
