Join Nick Pearce, new Director of ippr and Mike Emmerich, Chief Executive of Manchester's Commission for the New Economy, to discuss how government spending cuts to be announced in the forthcoming Comprehensive Spending Review will impact on economic growth, fairness and equality. We will debate whether the planned austerity measures will create the conditions for new wealth creation, how they can protect the most vulnerable in our society and how far they will shape a 'society fair for all'.
