Burns and Byron in Scottish, British and European Romanticism

This conference, co-organised by the Centre for Robert Burns Studies (University of Glasgow) and The Byron Centre (The University of Manchester), focuses on Byron and Burns as iconic points of reference from the early and late stages of Romanticism in the UK. Papers will consider the Scottish, British and the European contexts of these two international Romantic ‘celebrities’, viewing these from poetic, political, religious, cultural, historical and other perspectives.
