Football Family Fun Day
04 Oct 2010
On 16 October at Wythenshawe Sports Ground
The Paterson Institute for Cancer Research is playing Glasgow’s Beatson Institute for Cancer Research (both core-funded Cancer Research UK Institutes) at football on Saturday 16 October from 1pm at Wythenshawe Sports Ground, Willenhall Road, Wythenshawe, M23 0BD.
This is the third time the teams will have played each other and we have decided to make it into a bigger event to raise money for Cancer Research UK. There will be a number of other activities to amuse you and your families: a bouncy castle, face/nails painting, a raffle and, most importantly, a penalty shoot out where you will get the chance to try and score a goal against Nic Jones (Director of the Paterson Institute and the Manchester Cancer Research Centre) and some of the other Paterson Group Leaders. Refreshments will also be available.
Tickets cost £1 for adults and 50p for children. You can buy them in advance from reception at the Paterson but they will also be available on the day.
Please come along and support your local team. They have been beaten once, drawn once and now we hope they’re going to win!
