Celebrate two years of Cycle to Work rides
30 Sep 2010
Next ride scheduled for 6 October
If you’re interested in cycling to work but just need a bit of encouragement to get started, then why not come along to the next ‘Cycle to Work’ ride?
It’s taking place on Wednesday 6 October and marks the second anniversary of the scheme.
On the first Wednesday in the month, volunteers start from numerous places around the north west to help guide new and experienced cyclists along safe routes to the University.
Once here, all the riders meet up to exchange ideas and experiences and, of course, enjoy a free breakfast as Eats in University Place!
There are five regular routes and six ‘on demand’ where leaders will be on hand but the ride will only go ahead if there are enough people.
For information on all the routes and pick up times visit:
There will also be an UMBUG (University Bike User Group) meeting on Thursday 14 October between 1pm - 2pm. All staff with an interest in cycling welcome! Further details will follow.
