The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) are about to commence the largest volunteer recruitment campaign for over 60 years. Up to 70,000 dedicated and inspirational volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help deliver the London 2012 Games and ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully.

Get the party started at Zumbafest!
‘Zumbafest’ is a two-hour charity dance/fitness workout that will test your stamina and get you moving and shaking to the rhythm and beats of a variety of dance styles including salsa, mambo, samba, hip hop, flamenco and rhumba plus many more.
So if you think you have what it takes and want to raise money for local children’s hospice Francis House, then get your tickets for ‘Zumbafest’ at the Armitage Sports Centre on Saturday 25 September. You will need to be there at 10.15am for registration and ready to start the party at 10.30am.
The simplified dance steps make it possible for everyone to join in regardless of age or ability, under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult. Entry wristbands are available in advance from the Sport Head Office or The Armitage Sports Centre for £4 each and all proceeds will go to Francis House.

Summer Holiday Sport Courses at the Armitage
Chewits are hosting a week-long series of football and multi-sport courses for 5-11 year olds at the Armitage Sports Centre from Monday 16 August. Standard courses start from 9.30am until 3.30pm, with an optional extra time available, and guarantee a fun-packed day of sports and games for your child.
The course are excellent value for money starting from £9.95 per day and are delivered by experienced coaching staff who have gone through rigorous training to ensure your child is safe, happy and well looked after.
