Free Story Hunt Day and poetry reading by Mimi Khalvati
Story Hunt Day
John Rylands Library
Saturday 22 May, 11am-4pm
FREE
Inspired by the popular children’s story A Book of Beasts by E. Nesbit, this is a family adventure designed to take children and parents on afantastical, creative journey, encouraging them toexplore the library in a new and imaginative way.
Using storytelling, puppetry, origami, music and drama you will discover clues and new characters in many mysterious and secret parts of the library.
Activities will include dragon hunts and crownmaking, ensuring that everyone goes home with a souvenir of the story they helped to hunt out!
The climax of the story sparks a musical finale, in celebration of this shared magical journey.
