Make time for a lunchtime walk
19 May 2010
Weekly walks start with stroll to Ardwick Park on 25 May
Sick of having lunch at your desk? Want to get more fresh air? Want to improve your fitness, meet new people and discover some of the local area that you may not have visited before?
Following the success of the Get Walking Keep Walking programme in April and May, held in association with the Ramblers, a number of staff have now trained as walk leaders.
The first staff-led walk of what will hopefully be a regular programme of weekly strolls will take place on Tuesday 25 May, meeting at the reception of the Dover Street Building at 12.30pm and leaving shortly after that.
The walk will be a two-mile jaunt to Ardwick Park and will take between 30 and 40 minutes. It is suitable for people of all levels of fitness and walking experience - it's not a race, go at your own pace!
The event is free - just wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. You may also wish to bring a drink with you.
No booking necessary - just turn up on the day. For more information please contact:
