New lunchtime courses at STDU: April to July
You are invited to the following sessions which will be delivered from 12-2pm (lunch included) at the Staff Training and Development Unit:
21 April 2010: TP53 - Introduction to Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The MBTI is a psychometric instrument which measures individual preferences relating to how people perceive the world and make decisions. Delegates will learn about the MBTI and how it is used. They will have an opportunity to identify their own personal ‘type’ and begin to explore its impact on their working relationships.
27 May 2010: TP54 - Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming
NLP is concerned with what happens when we think and the effect our thinking has on our behaviour and the behaviour of others. In this session, delegates will learn about NLP what it is and how it can be used to help build effective working relationships.
10 June 2010: TP55 - Introduction to Emotional Intelligence
EI is the practice of paying attention to your own and other people’s emotional states and using the information to help inform your actions. Delegates will examine the validity of EI. its development and how it is measured. They will consider its link to leadership and how key aspects of EI impact on personal and professional relationships.
23 July 2010: TP56 - Introduction to Transactional Analysis
TA is a theory of personality and can be used as a method of improving communication. Delegates will learn about the theory of TA and how to use it to explore and improve their interactions in the workplace.
