Celebrate the work of Lydia Becker, suffragette and botanist, and Kathleen Drew-Baker, whose scientific research saved the Japanese seaweed industry, on this Museum tour.

Faith and fact
Explore issues arising from Charles Darwin's work in this discussion about faith and fact. Part of The Evolutionist, a Darwin extravaganza at The Manchester Museum.
- 5.30pm: Chance to look around Charles Darwin: evolution of a scientist, after hours, to inspire you before the discussion.
- 6pm: Welcome and introduction by Sam Alberti from The Manchester Museum about Charles Darwin: evolution of a scientist and its links to faith and fact.
- 6.15pm: Speakers from various groups will outline their relationship with faith and Charles Darwin's work. Speakers include Revd Dr John Campbell, United Reform Church, Guy Otten, British Humanist Association and Dr Prinja and Dr Bhan, Hindu faith community.
- 7.30pm: Small discussion groups to discuss the issues raised.
