Research Profiling Exercise
04 Feb 2010
School profiles and final report now available online
The University Research Profiling Exercise is now complete. School profiles and the report are available (see below) to all and you can request your own grade and feedback. Arrangements for this will be confirmed shortly by schools and faculties.
All of the external advisors involved in the Exercise praised our detail and rigour, and suggested important improvements for the future. This will be invaluable for Research Excellence Framework (REF) and other external exercises, as an ongoing resource to quickly access areas of strength-soon through searching e-Scholar and to inform our strategy.
We now aim to build on and improve RPE. We have already been updating databases and will soon ask staff for further updates.
I would like to than the many staff in Faculties and in the Central Research Office, the Library and ITS who worked so hard on this exercise.
