14 December deadline for software purchases at 15% VAT

As you know, the VAT rate is going back up to 17.5% on 1 January 2010. In order to allow time for orders to be submitted to our resellers, processed and the invoices received, the deadline for purchasing Adobe or Microsoft Select software from the Electronic Software Delivery System [ESD] at 15 % VAT is 9am on Monday 14 December 2009. Any software purchased after this time will incur VAT at 17.5%.

No orders will be placed with the resellers between 14 December and 4 January 2010. You may continue to use the ESD system throughout the Christmas closure period as normal, but if you order any software DVDs, they will not be ordered from the supplier until the first working day of 2010.
