147 Oxford Road Link returns to normal route

The 147 shuttle bus has now returned to its normal route, following the restoration of two-way traffic on Sackville Street. Southbound buses once more stop under the archway on the North Campus.
The 147 Oxford Road Link is a high quality, frequent service linking the University with Piccadilly Rail Station.
The distinctive white buses run from stop D at Piccadilly (Fairfield Street) every 10 minutes and complete a circular route. You can find details of the service in the following leaflet:

Due to a substantial subsidy paid by the University, staff and students get free travel between Sackville Street and the Eye Hospital stop (you must show your University ID card).
Outside this zone the fare is 50p for a single journey and £1 for a day ticket - the cheapest fare in Manchester.
