Peter and Paul run 10K for Cancer Research

Sponsor their Tatton Park run on 27 September
Paul Arrowsmith, SED Recruitment and Admissions Administrator, and Peter Jacobs, Programme Administrator in the SED's Institute for Development Policy and Management, are doing a 10k run in aid of Cancer Research at Tatton Park on Sunday 27 September 2009.
Paul's father passed away in July 2008 after battling against cancer for a year. In his final months, he was offered the best care in Christie's Hospital, Manchester. The money that goes into such care, the research, time, medication, etc is significantly funded from donations.
Peter has undertaken 10k walks for charity in the past and is tackling a 10k run for the first time as a personal challenge, for fun - and because Paul has encouraged/challenged him to take part!
Almost everybody encounters cancer in their lives at some stage - either through personal illness or through family and friends. In whatever way cancer has affected your life, make a difference by sponsoring Paul and Peter and supporting Cancer Research UK. Anything you can spare, no matter how big or small, will be very welcome and will go towards cancer research in the UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
