Recycling Roadshows during national Recycle Week
18 Jun 2009
Find out how to "reduce, re-use and recycle" on 24 and 25 June
The Directorate of Estates will be running two Recycling Roadshows to coincide with national Recycle Week, which runs from 22 to 28 June.
You will be able to find out what the University is doing to encourage people to "reduce, re-use and recycle" and what facilities are currently in place around the campus.
In particular, information will be available on the existing schemes for the recycling of paper and cardboard, and the types of materials you should be recycling in the office.
In addition, you will be able to obtain battery recycling containers, paper recycling boxes and information on the recycling of toner/inkjet cartridges.
The roadshows will be held at the following locations:
- University Place, main entrance, Wednesday 24 June, 12 noon – 2pm
- Sackville Building, Granby Row entrance, Thursday 25 June, 12 noon – 2pm
Simon Atkinson, Waste Co-ordinator, and Charlotte McHugh, Waste and Recycling Assistant, will be on hand to answer any queries. Do come along for information and advice, or to offer your suggestions.
