Manchester Defence Dining Club Dinner on 6 May
Rear Admiral Alabaster, Flag Officer Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland, will be talking about the Royal Naval Role in the Defence of the British Isles on the evening of Wednesday 6 May 2009. This will be followed by a buffet supper. Members of staff and partners are warmly invited to attend this event which costs £15 per head.
The venue this year will be The Chancellors Conference Centre in Fallowfield and the evening will begin with a drinks reception at 7.30pm.

The Military Education Committee, MEC, is a committee of the three Greater Manchester Universities that maintains an oversight of the three student service units: OTC, UAS and URNU. More information can be found at:
As part of its remit, the MEC runs two dinners per year with a guest speaker who is a senior member of one of the armed services or an interesting national body. This is organised as the self-funding Defence Dining Club.
