New hotel booking system launched

No need to use your own credit/debit card for reservations
A new hotel booking system has been launched at the University to help make life easier for staff booking hotels for work purposes.
The new system means that staff will no longer have to use their own credit/debit cards to make bookings. All you will have to do is contact ConferCare, which is part of the University’s Conference Office based within STARS. ConferCare will take the hassle out of your travel arrangements – as they can book hotels both here in the UK and world-wide, on your behalf.
The new service, which has been developed by ConferCare and the University’s Procurement Office, offers staff the following benefits:
- Room rates will be better than booking direct with the hotel
- More business will keep rates lower
- The University can be invoiced so there is no need to put in a claim via fees and expenses
- Less time-consuming for staff
