Switch off your lights for WWF’s Earth Hour.
23 Mar 2009
Join the largest mass participation event ever on 28 March.
On Saturday 28 March at 8.30pm, people around the world will be switching their lights off for an hour as part of WWF’s Earth Hour. Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007 when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour, this year the initiative is going global.
The University is using this opportunity to remind staff and students to switch off all non-essential lights and computer equipment at the end of each working day.
