Cool It 2008: The winners.
19 Jan 2009
Seven scoop prizes in student climate change competition.
The third Cool It competition on the theme of climate change was an innovative way of getting students involved with tackling the broad issues of climate change, and was managed by TEAM (The Environment at Manchester), the University's cross-Faculty Environment and Sustainable Development Network.
The competition winners were given choices between many eco-prizes: such as the option of air-mile-free organic shopping from the Unicorn store (a local ethical, whole-food grocery co-operative in Chorlton), top-of-the-range bikes and accessories from the Edinburgh Cycle Co-operative and vouchers from Blackwell books. In addition, these local suppliers sponsored other, smaller prizes.
