Vacancy for Residential Assistant Warden at Whitworth Park.

Applications are invited from academic, academic related or research staff or postgraduate students of The University of Manchester for a Residential Assistant Warden at Whitworth Park Hall of Residence.

Assistant Wardens work as part of the welfare support team in each residence. Duties include assisting in the pastoral care of residents, working with the Residents Association and helping to foster a community spirit.

Applicants should be sociable and interested in student affairs.  They should also be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and experience of team-working.

Assistant Wardens take leading roles in the Pastoral team and will be required to deputise for the Warden. Assistant Wardens will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends at regular intervals. Assistant Warden posts are particularly suitable for members of staff.

Assistant Wardens receive free accommodation and an honorarium payment in self-catering residences.
