Applications are invited from academic, academic related or research staff of postgraduate students of the
University of Manchester for a Tutor post within Dalton Ellis Hall.
Tutors work as part of the welfare support team within the Hall of residence, duties include assisting in the pastoral
care of residents, working with the Residents Association and helping to foster a community spirit.
Applicants should be sociable and interested in student affairs. They should also be able to demonstrate good
interpersonal skills and experience of team-working.
Tutors will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends at regular intervals.
Remuneration is given to Tutors in the form of free accommodation with a small charge being made for meals. The position will be available from mid-January 2008, and the appointment in the first instance will be until 31 August 2008.
