The University offers a range of apprenticeship opportunities for new and existing colleagues to support career development.  We now have over 300 colleagues across the University working towards an industry recognised professional qualification, covering a range of disciplines.

This February we are excited to launch three new programmes in collaboration with Corndel. Our new programmes include:

  • Project Management - A world-class project management programme designed to empower project managers with skills recognised by the APM Project Management Qualification.
  • Business Change Professional Programme – Enabling future-focused business change professionals with emerging technologies and change leaderships skills, to steer organisations through business transformation.
  • Data Driven Leader Programme - Empowering managers with knowledge of the current and future digital landscape, the ability to communicate insightful data stories, influence digital transformation and to implement high-impact data strategies across your organisation.

Who are they for?

All programmes are occupationally related, meaning that you will need to be in a role that provides sufficient scope to be able to apply your learning and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required.  These apprenticeship programmes provide structured training over a period of 12 to15 months and are nationally recognised professional accreditations.

When do they start?

The courses begin in April 2025 and will be delivered by our preferred training provider - Corndel.  All programmes are fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, meaning there is no cost to you.  The three new programmes form an important part of our evolving professional development offering here at the University.

If the above programme(s) are not the right one for you, we have a range of programmes across different vocational areas to support you.  There will be an opportunity to apply for our level 3,5 & 7 Leadership and Management apprenticeship programmes launching again in June and November.
