Following previous ‘Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement’ information sessions which have taken place over the past year, we are now inviting colleagues to attend our next session – cultural engagement - taking place online on Wednesday 4 December at 12pm.
Chaired by Dr Julian Skyrme, Executive Director of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement, particpants will have the opportunity to hear directly from three different people who will offer up pioneering examples of the University’s cultural and creative engagement. You will hear from Creative Manchester and about programmes at our Cultural Institutions. Colleagues will then have an opportunity to ask follow-up questions.
The cultural engagement session is part of a series of open sessions where you will be able to gain a greater understanding of social responsibility and civic engagement at the University, hear how our social responsibility and civic engagement strategy results in real actions and impact, and see how we are making a difference regionally, nationally and internationally.
Who should attend?
These sessions are aimed at all staff who are interested in how our University is making a positive difference to society and the environment through our Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement Plan. The content will be useful to anyone who wishes to find out more about the impact of our social responsibility activities, key people behind its delivery and our plans for the future.
Chaired by senior leaders, the sessions will be delivered by managers and beneficiaries of our programmes to provide real-life examples of our impact. There will be time for Q&As and feedback. The session will last approximately 45 minutes.

Participants may attend as many or as few sessions as they wish.
