Purple Place – new reward and benefits platform launched!

From today (21 November) you can now access our brand-new reward and benefits platform 'Purple Place’, hosted by Reward Gateway. Purple Place replaces our previous provider Vivup

Purple Place is available to all colleagues at the University and will be our central place for:  

  • a wide range of national discounts and cashback offers 
  • an exclusive selection of campus and local discounts through UniDiscounts 
  • a way to show your appreciation by sending an e-card and recognising colleagues on our recognition wall 
  • the opportunity to donate through our two payroll giving schemes – Purple Pennies and Purple Pounds 
  • access to the Cycle to Work scheme – the cost-efficient way of buying a new bike 
  • the ability to spread the cost of electronic orders with SmartTech – the interest free way to make purchases at Currys 
  • the Wellbeing centre for tips on mindfulness, getting active and financial wellbeing 

Discounts and savings 

There’s an entire SmartSpending discounts section dedicated to saving you money on your everyday purchases, with around 900 retailers. Save on everything from your weekly shop to holidays, and from takeaways to electricals.

We’ve brought together all our existing UniDiscounts within Purple Place to make them easier to access than ever before. With everything all in one place you can make sure you don’t miss out on all the great offers and savings available to colleagues. 

Saying thank you to colleagues 

There’s a new way to recognise your colleagues by sending a special 'thank you' e-card.  

How to sign up 

To enjoy the benefits of Purple Place visit purpleplace.co.uk on a computer, tablet or smartphone and follow the login instructions.  

Please make sure that you have read and understand the terms and conditions before using the site.  

You can also access all the great Purple Place discounts on the go by downloading the SmartSpending app on the App Store or Google Play.  

You must activate your account via the Purple Place website before you are able to access your account via the app.
