Directorate of EDI shine at European Diversity Awards

University EDI Directorate win Highly Commended trophy in the Diversity Team of the Year category at the European Diversity Awards

On Friday, 8 November, the Directorate of EDI attended the prestigious European Diversity Awards. Sponsored by Optum, the event was hosted by Sky News presenters Kamali Melbourne and Gillian Joseph at the luxurious InterContinental London Park Lane.

The Directorate of EDI had been shortlisted for the Diversity Team of the Year award, competing against nine other organisations, including Manchester Metropolitan University, HSBC, Sky, and Amazon.

The Directorate was honoured with a Highly Commended trophy in the Diversity Team of the Year category. Whilst Teleperformance Portugal, took home the Sedulo Diversity Team of the Year award, the Direcorate's recognition is a testament to the dedication and leadership of former EDI Director, Banji Adewumi MBE and Interim EDI Director Paul Marks-Jones.
