Interim Chief Property Officer, Steve Jordan to leave for new role

Steve Jordan will leave for a new role at the University of Birmingham in February

Dear colleagues,  

I am writing to inform you that Steve Jordan, our Interim Chief Property Officer (CPO), will be leaving the University in February 2025. Steve has accepted an exciting new role as Director of Estates at the University of Birmingham. 

During his time at the University, Steve has made significant contributions to our Estates and Facilities team, bringing a wealth of experience from his background in Higher Education, private practice, and project management consultancy. His exceptional leadership, particularly in recent months as he's been acting up as Interim CPO, has been instrumental in advancing our campus development projects and enhancing our facilities management. 

Steve said, “It has been a great privilege to work with such a dedicated team at the University of Manchester. I am proud of every member of the directorate and what we have achieved together, and I'm confident that the team will continue to excel. I'm sad to be leaving such an amazing group of colleagues but I'm also delighted to be joining the University of Birmingham at such an exciting time and look forward to the new challenges and opportunities the role will bring." 

We are grateful for Steve’s dedication and hard work, and while we will miss his expertise and leadership, we wish him all the best in his new role.  

Please join me in congratulating Steve on this exciting new opportunity. We will have an opportunity to celebrate his contribution before February.
