Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal.

Please donate new or secondhand children's gifts by 3 December.

The Wood Street Mission expects to be asked to help over 3,000 children this Christmas. Each child will be given a brand new gift suitable for their age and development. Traditionally they receive lots of toys for babies and young children, but struggle with the older children. If you want to buy a toy towards the Christmas Project you might want to consider buying items for either girls or boys aged 8-13. Possible ideas could include toiletries sets, arts and crafts gifts, music tokens, costume jewellery, sports goods (non-clothing), small electronic games or any Star Wars, Dr Who, Spider Man, Harry Potter or other popular merchandise. Donations can also include good secondhand toys, books, games or puzzles and childrens' videos or DVDs.

Due to refurbishment of storage space at Wood Street, for 2007 only they do not require any donations of food, including chocolates and biscuits. In 2008 it will be business as usual!

Last year the support from University staff was tremendous and our donations went a long way to providing support to 3,400 children.
