Have you completed our phishing awareness training?

Phishing messages are emails that try to trick you into giving out personal information or visiting fake websites.
The University has very good email protection in place, but fraudsters use increasingly sophisticated measures to try and scam people – posing as trusted contacts and asking you to check IT account details are just some of the ways this can happen. Any email account will be targeted so this will be as relevant in your personal life as it is to your work.
An online training course on phishing awareness has been provided by our partner Khipu. You can access this on the cyber security page of the IT Services website:
The course involves watching a short video, reading the training tips and taking part in a short quiz and test of your knowledge. To help yourself stay safe online, we strongly encourage you to take a few minutes and complete the course. Even if you have completed this before it’s good to refresh regularly.
Phishing represents a significant risk to the University so remember - JDLR. If it Just Doesn't Look Right, report it to IT Services.
As a University we will continue our efforts to help you stay safe online and defend against phishing – this will include additional training and simulated phishing exercises.
