Student Experience Programme (SEP) evaluation update

24 Sep 2024

The timeline for the evaluation of the ‘people and structures’ element of SEP has been extended and more opportunities to get involved have been created.

Feedback received from SEP evaluation workshop participants suggests that timing has been a barrier for some colleagues unable to participate over the summer due to the time of year and holidays, this has especially affected our academic colleagues and PS colleagues in grades two - seven.

To address this, the evaluation committee is offering additional workshops running from 30 September to mid-October. These workshops will also include slots for the SEP team grades two - seven.

This final phase of engagement concludes with interviews for senior SEP-related colleagues at grade eight and above between October and November.

The evaluation committee intends to prepare the final recommendations report for December, ready to submit it to the Strategic Change Sub Committee (SCSC) meeting scheduled for 7 January 2025. It’s anticipated the report will be available more widely early in the New Year.

Progress so far

Since the SEP evaluation launched in March, 666 colleagues have completed the online survey and over 120 colleagues and students have participated in a workshop or a focus group. The feedback has been high quality and rich in detail so thanks to all who have given up their time to provide feedback, it is very much appreciated.

Get involved

There are dedicated workshops taking place for:

  • The SEP team grades two - seven;
  • Academic colleagues;

Workshops will cover a range of themes:
