FoodOnCampus rebrands as Unicafe

All our FoodOnCampus locations have now been rebranded as Unicafé, to make it easier for colleagues and students to find and enjoy exclusive discounts at our cafes.  

Our high quality, sustainable, and convenient food and drink options are available across campus.

This rebrand is part of our commitment to enhancing your campus experience and comes at an exciting time for our Unicafe outlets.  

We recently launched The Bee Cup, our reusable cup scheme, in partnership with Manchester City Council and In Our Nature. This initiative is designed to significantly reduce the number of single-use paper cups being used on campus, as well as our carbon footprint.  

Our Unicafé outlets are dedicated to offering high quality, healthy, and sustainable products at all our locations. Our focus on environmental and social responsibility is a core part of the University’s overall vision, and we utilise: 

• Plastic-free outlets: all our outlets are single-use plastic free where possible. 
• Local suppliers: we work with local producers like Barbakan Bakery and Silver Apples Bakery to reduce plastic use, lower our carbon footprint, and support the local community. 
• Fairtrade and One Water: we only sell Fairtrade hot drinks and stock One Water, whose profits fund sustainable water projects worldwide, at our outlets. 

Using Unicafé Discount 

Colleagues can enjoy a 10% discount at all UniCafé locations and you can do this by topping up your card at the till in any Unicafe.
