Charles Street Car Park is closing

Charles Street Car Park will be closing on Sunday, 20 October, as part of the University’s process of vacating buildings that form part of the ID Manchester site.

From the end of October, management of the building will transfer to the ID Manchester Joint Venture. As outlined in the Strategic Regeneration Framework that was approved by Manchester City Council in December 2023, this area has been earmarked for residential development. The timescales for when this phase will be brought forward are yet to be confirmed.

University permit holders have been contacted directly by the Car Park Permit Office. If you access Charles Street car park, as your sole car park, but have not received an email, please contact carparking@manchester.ac.uk.
