Planned disruption to Wi-Fi

IT Services and its network partners need to perform maintenance work which will affect Wi-Fi access on campus and in halls.

Between 7am on Sunday 29 September and 7am on Monday 30 September, Wi-Fi connectivity will be temporarily lost or disrupted for approximately 10 minutes while this work takes place. Different areas will be affected at different times, however due to the nature of the work, it is not possible to state at exactly which time each area will be affected.

Once work has been completed, Wi-Fi connectivity will be automatically restored.

This only affects Wi-Fi; wired network connectivity and access to University systems outside the Wi-Fi network will not be affected.

Anyone who experiences issues after the work has completed should report this:

  • Hornet (Internet access specifically in halls of residence)
  • IT Support Centre (all IT issues not related to halls of residence)
