Connectivity issues on campus - resolved

Information about IT connectivity issues

Update 2 (12.45pm, Wednesday 4 September)

Earlier issues affecting wired connectivity in some buildings have now been resolved. Please contact the IT Support Centre directly if you have any technical issues.

Update 1 (10.40am, Wednesday 4 September)

IT Services have identified the issue and are working on a fix. As of yet there is no estimated time to resolution, however as soon as we have additional information, we will post it here.

Next update expected at approximately 1pm today.

IT Services are investigating reports of connectivity issues on campus.

The IT Support Centre have received reports of issues in the following buildings:

  • AV Hill
  • Beyer Building
  • Chemistry building
  • Crawford House including Library hub
  • Ellen Wilkinson Building
  • James Chadwick Building
  • John Owens Building
  • Humanities Bridgeford Street
  • Main Library – some, but not all wired connectivity
  • Michael Smith Building
  • Salford Royal (University sites only)
  • Simon Building

If you are affected, but not in any of the buildings above, please telephone the IT Support Centre on 0161 306 5544.

As soon as we have any more information we’ll let you know.
