WATCH: Recordings of Canvas CLE and SEAtS open meetings

Get the latest updates on the new Student Engagement and Attendance System, plus our move from Blackboard Learn to Canvas by Instructure.

Watch our SEAtS Town Hall Event Now Available 

We are pleased to announce that the recording of our recent town hall event is now available to watch on Stream. 

For those who were unable to attend, this recording provides the opportunity to catch up on the latest updates in the implementation of our new Student Engagement and Attendance System (SEAtS). This will be used to log student attendance and support student wellbeing. 

Please share this with colleagues who you think may benefit from this information, particularly colleagues involved in teaching and student support. 

Key topics covered in the town hall include:

  • Project updates and view of upcoming activities
  • Q&A session with our project sponsors

Watch our Canvas CLE Open meeting – Thursday, 11 July 

Thank you to the 170 colleagues who joined the open meeting on Thursday, 11 July to hear updates around our move from Blackboard Learn to Canvas by Instructure.  

Colleagues were invited to hear discussions from the CLE project panel who were joined by guest from Instructure, Rich Wall. 

The meeting provided insights into what has been achieved on our journey to date, and gave assurances around the data migration process, controlled early access for users and plans for training on Canvas. The panel answered several pre-submitted questions from colleagues in the presentations and Q&A section. All questions are being collated and reviewed and will be shared through our StaffNet pages. 

Our next open meeting is planned for November and will provide colleagues with further updates on our Canvas implementation, training opportunities and demonstrations of the platform.
