ID Manchester opens its doors in September
04 Jul 2024
ID Manchester, a partnership between our University and Bruntwood SciTech, is opening the doors to its first building – The Renold Innovation Hub – in late September.
This launch marks the initial phase of ID Manchester’s ambitious plan to transform the University’s former North Campus into a welcoming and accessible innovation district.
As part of it, there are two open calls for researchers and innovators to get involved.
Exhibit your Research in Renold Innovation Hub (support available)
We are inviting students, colleagues and alumni to showcase their cutting-edge research in semi-permanent exhibits (up to at least six months). Support of up to £4k is included.
If your research is generating tangible societal, environmental or commercial impact, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring your research to a wide audience to raise awareness, enhance your impact and inspire others.
- Complete the application form by Friday, 9 August.
Join the Renold Innovation Hub (no- or low- cost space available)
We are looking for researchers and entrepreneurs who are developing and testing new ideas, with a view to growing them into successful commercial businesses, to join our ecosystem.
Innovators at Renold Innovation Hub will have access to no- or low-cost coworking space and small office suites, allowing them to work alongside, engage, and collaborate with other earlystage start-ups and spin-outs, as well as other ID Manchester partners.
In addition, they will be able to access support to help accelerate their growth. This includes:
- Training;
- Mentorship; and
- Access to events, expert networks, investors, and funders.
Find out more about the tiered packages and the support network available by joining the drop-in session on Tuesday, 16 July, between 12.00pm-1.00pm at City Labs 1.0. Please note this is a change in location. The session was originally meant to be at No. 1 Circle Square. A recording will be made available afterwards to those not able to join.
More information can be found in the Renold Brochure.
