Five pillars of excellence to promote our interdisciplinary collaboration and showcase key research

Following comprehensive analytics, external user testing sessions and internal input from strategic board members, our new research beacons webpages went live this Spring.

Our research beacons are five pillars of research excellence which provide the opportunity to showcase our interdisciplinary research collaboration and cross-sector partnerships. Our refreshed webpages highlight how we’re creating impact and tackling global challenges across the areas of advanced materials, biotechnology, cancer, energy and global inequalities research.

They also enable our research colleagues to:

  • Identify as belonging to a research beacon on your Research Explorer profile to increase the likelihood of you and your work being found.
  • Share your work with research beacons communications and marketing leads and discuss how they might be able to support promoting this through research beacons campaigns.
  • Get involved in a user testing session and/or share your feedback on our updated webpages as the team are making continuous improvements – please email Vicky Taylor-Plane if you’re interested.
