IT maintenance work on Thursday 13 June - updated

IT Services need to perform maintenance on Thursday 13 June which will affect campus-wide connectivity

Update (10.05am, Monday 10 June) - please note that the original version of this message stated that work on the Wi-Fi service would take place on the weekend of 15 and 16 June. That work has been postponed, and we'll post an update as soon as we have a new date.

However, there will be two short disruptions to campus-wide network connectivity on 13 June. The first will take place at approximately 7pm. There will be a second disruption later in the evening, however it is not possible to state at exactly which time this will occur. While the disruptions are expected to last up to five minutes each, please allow up to one hour for checks against key systems to complete.

During this time, University services including (but not limited to) IT login, internet access on campus and in halls, University websites and the VPN will be unavailable.

IT colleagues will be monitoring services throughout and after all the above work to ensure everything returns to service as expected.If you experience any issues after work has been completed, please telephone the IT Support Centre (24/7) on 0161 306 5544.
