Lace up your boots and get involved in a staff and student mixed-gender 7-aside tournament
In celebration of Euro 2024, we’re organising a mixed-gender football tournament at the Armitage Centre on Wednesday, 5 June, from 3pm-6pm.
The tournament is open to teams of staff and students consisting of 7 to 12 players. All teams must be mixed-gender and field at least two players who do not identify as male, on the pitch at all times.
The tournament will consist of 10 minute games comprising of a group stage and knockout stage. Each team will be randomly assigned a national team from the Euros ahead of the tournament and must play in their colours. Shin pads are encouraged!
The entry fee is £40 per team. This fee will be split between the costs of the event and a donation to Coffee4Craig, a local charity providing emergency support to people experiencing homelessness in Manchester city centre.
Registration is open until Friday, 31 May. Team captains are asked to make the £40 payment when registering and submit a team name. Places are limited, so early sign-up is advised.
