Search for new Director of EDI underway and interim management arrangements confirmed

The recruitment process to appoint a successor to Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Banji Adewumi is now in train

Following on from the announcement that Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Banji Adewumi will be leaving our University this June to take on a new role in London, closer to her home and family, the formal recruitment process to appoint her successor is now in train.

A recruitment partner has been selected, a job description finalised and advertising for the Director of EDI role will begin very shortly. 

With Banji leaving us in June, we have put in place interim management arrangements for the Directorate to maintain continuity and to enable us to continue to drive forward this vital agenda, until a new Director has been appointed and is in place. 

Paul Marks-Jones will act up as Interim Director of EDI, with Kathy Bradley also stepping up as Lead EDI Partner within the Directorate. Paul and Kathy will take on these roles from Tuesday, 28 May, post the Bank Holiday with a few weeks of handover with Banji to ensure a smooth transition.
