Learn some survival Mandarin, master the art of calligraphy Main Body: The Confucius Institute has launched a new short language course aimed at staff and students at the University of Manchester who want to learn some survival Chinese on a small budget. The new course will take place over five weeks (5 x 1hr) and will introduce learners to practical words and phrases that can be used in everyday situations.
The course will take place between 1-1:50PM on Fridays, 17 May to 14 June and will cost only £30. It will help you build confidence and develop your ability to have basic conversations with native speakers on a visit to China.
The lunchtime calligraphy course will also continue this term, running every Thursday lunchtime, 16 May to 13 June. It will also only cost £30 for five sessions. No matter if you're a beginner or you've already learnt the basics, we will make sure you're come away with something new and get plenty of time to practice.
