All colleagues can attend our 2024 Making a Difference Awards
29 Apr 2024
Watch the livestream on Thursday, 9 May, from the University’s Whitworth Hall to celebrate how our students, staff, alumni and external partners are making a difference
We’re hosting our annual Making a Difference Awards ceremony live from the Whitworth Hall, where we will be presenting our winners and highly commended awards in person. Why not tune in live on YouTube and help us celebrate the positive impact our university community is making on society and the environment.
The 2024 shortlist includes projects as far-ranging as developing the world’s first bedside genetic test to prevent babies from going deaf, to promoting inclusion of and visibility for LGBTQ+ people in STEM.
The event is an opportunity for us all to recognise, celebrate and show appreciation for the social responsibility commitments and achievements of our students, staff, alumni and external partners.
Join our Chancellor, Nazir Afzal OBE, and President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, live online on Thursday, 9 May, from 18:00.
