NW-GRID Campus Grids Workshop
12 Oct 2007
On 31 October at Foresight Centre, University of Liverpool
Campus Grids have proven a cost-effective means of tackling demand for high throughput computing, usually based around solutions such as Condor. However, challenges can quickly multiply - How can security best be handled? How does power consumption come into the equation? Is there a relatively easy way to set-up a Campus Grid?
How can a Campus Grid be used to provide seamless access to larger, possibly national, facilities? This workshop is intended to bring together those starting to develop Campus Grids with those experienced in the basic technology and those looking to move a successful Campus Grid onto bigger and better things.
Registration is free and places are limited.
