Spring Open Day at the Confucius Institute

Always fancied learning a new language, but not sure what learning Mandarin is like? Interested in Chinese characters and want to try your hand at Chinese calligraphy?
Come along to our Spring Open Day on 23 March and take part in a variety of fun cultural activities, language tasters, sample some Chinese tea and snacks and enter our prize draw to win some great prizes:
- A free one-to-one Mandarin lesson
- A free cultural course (calligraphy or brush painting)
Entry is free and everyone is welcome.

- 1:30 – 2:00 Tea ceremony (and Chinese snacks!) - drop-in
- 2:00 – 2:30 Language taster
- 2:30 – 3:00 Calligraphy taster
- 3:00 – 3:30 Language taster 2
- 3:30 – 4:00 Bracelet making - drop-in
- 4:00 – 4:10 Music performance - Pipa
- 4:10 – 4:45 Meet the teachers
- 4:00 – 4:45 Tea ceremony (and more snacks!) - drop-in
The language tasters and the calligraphy taster will start at the advertised time and will be on a first come, first served basis.
