Institute of Teaching and Learning Conference 2024

11 Mar 2024

Save the date: Wednesday, 26 and Thursday, 27 June 2024

The Teaching and Learning Conference is a pivotal event dedicated to fostering excellence and innovation in teaching and learning for staff and students.

After the success of last year's conference, which featured keynote speeches, presentations, papers and lightning talks, we return with an expanded programme and two days of papers, exhibitors and activities.

The 2024 Conference will take place in University Place and will include a welcome drinks reception on the evening of Wednesday, 26 June in the Whitworth Hall. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity for attendees to network and socialise in a relaxed setting.

The Conference is open to all staff and students and is free of charge. It is an excellent chance for our teaching and learning community to come together, share insights, and learn from each other's experiences in advancing teaching and learning practices.

As part of our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, the 2024 Conference will be a hybrid event. Attendees will have the flexibility to participate in plenaries and parallel sessions either in-person or live via Zoom. This format ensures that all members of our community, regardless of their location, can benefit from knowledge-sharing and discussions. And, just like last year’s event, we will curate a legacy web resource showcasing the fabulous papers and contributions to the Conference.

Get involved

For those who wish to contribute more actively, we invite you to join this year's Conference Committee. Your involvement will be instrumental in shaping a successful and meaningful event.

Please express your interest by responding to this form by Friday, 15 March, in time for the first Conference Committee meeting on Tuesday, 19 March, 11.30am-12.30pm.

Call for papers

We will announce our call for papers during the week beginning 25 March 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your scholarship, research, initiatives, and innovations in teaching and learning.
