Want to learn more about AI? Complete the Jisc Discovery tool's new question set

A new 'Digital skills in AI and generative AI' question set is now available for all staff

Develop your digital skills - Jisc

We introduced the Jisc Discovery tool in 2021 to support students and staff to understand and develop their digital capabilities. The implementation of the tool forms part of a supportive programme of digital skills development activities being delivered through the Flexible Learning Programme.

In response to recent advances with AI, Jisc have added an additional question set and resources on 'Digital skills in AI and generative AI' to the Discovery tool to help you self-assess and develop your knowledge of AI. 

How do I access the Discovery tool?

Staff can access the tool via the Learning and Organisational Development Develop your digital skills resource.

Once you complete the question set, you can access your personalised report, which provides recommendations and courses on how to advance your knowledge around AI.

Will there be an AI question set added to the tool for students?

Yes, Jisc are currently working to add 2 new student-facing question sets to the tool – one on AI and Generative AI and a another focussed on employability.  We will update staff and students when these become available.
